The M.1b is designed to work on vehicles manufactured from 1996
to current with On Board Diagnostics, OBD-II. The vehicle will have
an OBD-II connector located inside the car, usually under the
steering wheel, along the bottom of the dash. The M.1b simply plugs
into this connector with the provided cable and transmits the
vehicle data to the unit.
We also have some special applications for
particular vehicles and/or family of vehicles. For example, the MUT
protocol, Mitsubishi's own, will be coming soon for Mitsubishi
Lancer Evolution IX, VIII and others. The new 2008 Mitsubishi
vehicles don't need to wait for this, since they are on CAN and
offer plenty of high speed data.

The SSM protocol for Subaru is also on the
way. This again, is for those Subarus on the ISO protocol for the
OBD-II, not the 2008 models, which are on CAN and offer high speed
data, (you also get the wideband and boost gauge on the 2008+ WRX
STi).

The Consult II protocol for Nissan is very
close to completion as well. All these will be on the products page
shortly.

If your vehicle is a Mitsubishi, Subaru or
Nissan/Infinit, let us know which one and send an email to marketing@magden-auto.com.

For PRE-OBD-II vehicles, utilize the M.1b +
Zt-2 package. This allows you to add the sensors you need to
monitor. Hot Rods and Custom Car builders, please let us know what
late model engine you are using. If it has an OBD-II port, the M.1b
can be the cleanest install for custom gauges and you can also use
the Zt-2 to add more sensors if needed.
